Designed for Choice
Formats
Italia Glass Mosaic is offered in a single, versatile size 2X2 cm, designed to suit a wide range of applications. The scale is carefully chosen to work well for both detailed surfaces and larger areas, allowing patterns to form clearly and evenly.
Looks
These looks are developed for use across residential, commercial, and water-led spaces, including feature walls, pools, hospitality areas, and interior surfaces.
Designs
Plain
Plain designs feature a single colour and a consistent finish across the entire mosaic sheet, creating a clean and uniform surface. This makes them ideal for spaces that call for visual clarity, whether on walls, floors, or larger applications. With their uninterrupted look, plain designs bring a sense of order and ease, allowing the overall space to feel cohesive without drawing attention to individual elements.
Blend
Blend designs combine two or more colours or surface looks within a single sheet. The colours are mixed in defined proportions and placed in a random arrangement to create natural variation across the surface. This approach works well in spaces where a sense of movement and tonal variation is desired, without relying on a fixed pattern. Blends are commonly used across feature walls, wet areas, and large surface applications.
Gradation
Gradation designs create a gradual transition from one colour tone to another. The shift may move from light to dark, dark to light, or through multiple tonal stages. This design is often used to guide the eye across a surface, highlight levels or zones, or create a sense of flow. Gradation works effectively on vertical surfaces, steps, feature areas, and expansive layouts.
Decoration
Decoration designs are based on a repeating module that aligns seamlessly in all directions. Each unit is assembled to ensure continuity when the pattern is extended across a surface. This design style brings structure and rhythm to a space, making it suitable for areas where order and repetition support the overall design intent. It works well across both functional and decorative surfaces.
Mural
Mural designs are created using aligned mosaic modules that come together to form a complete visual composition. Colours and surface looks are arranged in a planned layout across one or multiple sheets, ensuring consistency and continuity when installed. These murals are used as defined feature surfaces, offering a clear visual presence through structure and pattern.
Assembly Methods
Italia Glass mosaics are assembled into sheets using two proven methods, each suited to different installation preferences and project requirements.
Papered
Papered assembly is a traditional and widely used method for mosaic installation. In this technique, a removable paper layer is fixed to the front face of the mosaics, holding each piece in place during handling and installation. Once installed, the paper is removed, revealing the finished surface.
Advantages of Papered:
- Allows clear visibility of joint gaps during installation
- Supports accurate alignment and pattern continuity
- Suitable for detailed patterns and visual checks on site
- A familiar and trusted method across global markets
LinkTec
LinkTec is an advanced assembly system developed using robotic technology. In this method, mosaics are connected from the back using durable polyurethane links, forming a stable and flexible sheet. The face of the mosaic remains completely exposed, supporting precision installation and refined finishing.
Advantages of LinkTec:
- Water-resistant and weather-resistant assembly
- Maintains strong intactness during handling and installation
- Enables faster and easier installation
- Supports excellent surface finishing
- Ideal for pools and water-led applications
